Please note: 

  • We welcome applicants of varying degrees of experience and actively encourage BPF Futures members to apply
  • Your organisation must have a corporate membership with the SPF / BPF
  • Due to limited space, we can only have one member per organisation on each committee
  • You must be able to commit to attending our meetings in person or online (x3 per year)

Applications are open for the following committees

This committee typically addresses issues, trends, and challenges within commercial property development, such as offices, retail, logistics sectors. We review policy changes, tenant expectations, and sustainability practices to ensure that developments align with economic priorities and environmental goals.

This committee examines issues related to property tax policies. We regularly consider the impact of the Scottish Government's budget and commitments made in the Programme for Government for the industry.

The focus of this committee is to consider policy changes affecting residential development including purpose-built student accommodation and build-to-rent sectors.

This committee focuses on promoting environmentally responsible and energy-efficient building practices. This committee reviews policies, standards, and innovations in sustainable design to ensure that new and existing buildings can meet environmental performance standards.

This committee focuses on overseeing policies, projects, and initiatives related to land use, zoning, and urban development. We work to ensure that developments align with community needs, economic growth goals, and sustainable planning principles.
