Our response to the Fire Safety Review & Compliance consultation is broadly supportive but firmly practical. It backs the Compliance Plan in Principle, verifier consolidation, digital submissions, proportionate evidence, and single technical points of contact. However, it warns against rigid timelines that could slow delivery, especially for High Risk Buildings and phased warranting. We also argue that processes should be risk-based, flexible, and aligned with project complexity rather than becoming another fixed delay. It also supports named Compliance Managers, clear verification protocols, and stronger competency frameworks.
