Overview:
We would like to invite you to join us for a breakfast presentation and review of the findings of the Bayes Commercial Real Estate Lending Survey for the year to December 2025, which was a difficult financing year with many changes for the CRE debt market.
The proceedings will commence with presentation of the survey results by Nicole Lux, followed by a panel discussion. The panel members will respond with their personal thoughts on the survey’s findings and a debate will follow.
Please note: The event will be held under the Chatham House Rule and is closed to media.

Chair
Neil Odom-Haslett, Vice President, Association of Property Lenders
Neil recently joined Mount Street to boost their business development across commercial real estate and Private Credit.
Previously Neil was Head of Private Credit at Aberdeen plc (incorporating Commercial Real Estate Lending, Infrastructure Debt, Private Corporate debt and Fund Financing) at Aberdeen plc). He joined Aberdeen in 2013 to set up the Commercial Real Estate Lending (CREL) platform and moved into his current role in 2023. The committed AUM is £14bln, all from external third party insurers and institutions.
He has worked in the lending industry for more than 30 years starting his career with NatWest banking and subsequently worked for several international banks. Before joining Aberdeen, Neil was at Deutsche Pfandbrief Bank, where he was responsible for their CREL Continental European (ex-Germany) loan book.
Neil is the immediate past President of the Association and Property Lenders.

Charlie Foster, Head of Commercial Real Estate, NatWest
As Head of Commercial Real Estate, Charlie has responsibility for driving the strategy behind how NatWest supports customers in the UK Real Estate sector across a broad range of banking needs from debt structuring and facilitating access to debt capital markets through to provision of clearing services. The business provides c.£17bn in funding to customers, from SMEs through to the largest real estate operators in the UK. The strategy includes a strong focus on sustainability with a primary goal of supporting real estate customers of all sizes to respond to the climate challenge and transition to a low carbon economy.
Prior to joining Natwest in 2017, Charlie held roles at various lenders and has specialised in the real estate sector since 2006.

Nick Harris, Head of Valuation, Savills
Nick has considerable experience in UK and International valuations, having specialised in this area for the past 20 years, and has undertaken and coordinated work in over 25 countries. Leading Savills team, he acts as a single point of contact for Savills multi-jurisdiction clients who include lenders, international real estate funds, corporates and loan servicing companies.

Arron Taggart, Head of Investment, Cheyne Capital
Arron has approximately 30 years’ experience in the real estate markets. He is Head of UK Real Estate at Cheyne Capital, responsible for a book of c. £5 billion of UK real estate loans as well as selected equity situations, having joined the firm in 2012. Prior to Cheyne, Arron was a Property Specialist and Partner at Clydesdale Bank and headed up the Real Estate Lending book for London and the South of England. Prior to Clydesdale Bank he was at Bank of Scotland and Hitachi Capital.
