SPF Comments on Scottish Government Spending Resource Review
Responding to the Scottish Government's Resource Spending Review, Stephen Lewis, Chair of Scottish Property Federation said:
'It is clear from yesterday’s Spending review statement that an already tough public budget round is only expected to get tougher. The SPF believes this reinforces the need to grow the Scottish economy to support the government’s wider social and environmental policies.
'On the public estate, we recognise the public sector will wish to invest in better, more efficient facilities as we improve our workplaces to meet net zero, wellbeing and community aspirations. It is important that the government works closely with its public sector colleagues and the private sector to ensure this process adheres to the place principle, given the central importance of public sector workforces to many local economies.'
